Windows 8 Developer Preview Product Keys
As I’ve experienced and written, Windows 8 is pretty simple and seamless while installation but the real problem comes when someone “reset” it or tries to reinstall it. When I was trying to reset my installation just to test it up, I found that it was asking for the product key though windows has said it doesn’t require any key to use as of now. Here’s what I’ve got for you and its something interesting.
If you are going to restore, reset or reinstall your Windows 8 developer preview version, it will prompt you for a serial key. Though you have the option to skip it but I’ve found those keys which you can enter and it works. These keys have been released by MSDN forum up there at the Microsoft Support.
- Windows 8 Developers Preview Product key: 6RH4V-HNTWC-JQKG8-RFR3R-36498
- Windows Server 8 Developers Preview product key: 4Y8N3-H7MMW-C76VJ-YD3XV-MBDKV
Please take a note that these keys will work only with the Microsoft Windows 8 Developer preview versions and not for any other version releasing after it. The expiry date of this keys are march 11, 2012 which is the expiry date of this developer preview version as well. Check this link for more information about Windows 8.
