Motorola RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX HD And RAZR M Launched
Motorola has just released 3 new smartphones in it’s RAZR series namely the RAZR HD, RAZR MAXX HD and the RAZR M. After Nokia launching the new Lumia 920 And 820, it was time for Motorola to roll. All the three devices have something unique about them. It seems that Motorola has decided to turn the tables on this time with such great new devices and which have the potential to challenge phones like the iPhone 4S and many more. Schmidt said there are now 1.3 million Android devices activations per day, with Android’s total install base close to 500 million. “That puts us in the number one position, from a platform position, in the world, by far.”
Motorola RAZR HD :
The new RAZR HD is loaded with a 4.7-inch screen with a resolution 1,280 x 720 display. This is a big upgrade from the current RAZR, which has a 960 x 540 display. It’s got a dual-core processor and comes with a Chrome browser pre-installed. The RAZR HD has thinner bezels, not quite “frameless” as the rumors said. It has 85% more color saturation than the iPhone 4S, says Motorola. With 2500mAh battery, it will be providing a better battery life than the Samsung Galaxy S3 with upto 16 hrs of talktime. The RAZR HD will be the new top Droid device that connects to Verizon’s 4G LTE network.
Motorola RAZR MAXX HD : The second one up from Motorola is the new RAZR MAXX HD which has similar specs as the RAZR HD but it claims upto 21 hours of continuous talktime, video streaming over 4G LTE upto 10 hours and music streaming over LTE upto 10 hours too which makes it having the most outstanding battery life out of all. It also has built-in chrome browser, Google maps and voice commands.
Motorola RAZR M : The Droid Razr M is a compact phone with a 4.3 inch high-resolution display with gorilla glass. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS, packs a dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon processor, has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Despite its small size, it comes with a 2000mAh battery. RAZR M has 40% more screen area than an iPhone 4S in a similar footprint. It has a 8MP rear camera which allows 1080p video recording and supports bluetooth, Wi-fi and 4G LTE connectivity too.
All the phones will be running on Android 4.1 JellyBean by the end of this year as per sources which is the most exciting news. They will ship with Android 4.0 ICS. The first two phones will be available in stores “before the holidays” while the Droid Razr M is available for pre-order today, and will cost $99 which will start shipping from next week. So that’s all we have from the Motorola Mobility event at New York City. These smartphones look really good and we will see a great competition with the new Lumia’s launched earlier today by Nokia.
