| April 19, 2012 | 0 Comments

Are you on a limited 3G data plan? Your apps suck up too much of your 3G data? Always wanted to limit 3G data usage for some particular apps? Well I’ve got a solution for you now. I’ve found some stunning apps which makes this task easier for you and they come very handy especially when you’re on the go surviving on a limited 3G data plan.

As you are aware, 3G data plans are not that affordable as the 2G data plans for many users and this applications comes in act when there is a necessity to block some apps from using the 3G data automatically by default.

[Note]1. DroidWall [Root Required][/Note]

This is one of the most impressive app in the list I’m going to provide you. It does exactly the task you are looking to perform. It will give you the list of apps which uses your data and then you’ll have an option to disable the apps from using data connection and it’ll continue to work when you’re into a wi-fi connected zone. This is the perfect solution if you don’t have an unlimited data plan, or just wants to see your battery lasting longer.

[Note]2. Onavo Count[/Note]

Good thing about this app : It doesn’t require root access and another good thing is : It actually works! Yes, Onavo count is another impressive app which performs the task you’re looking for and it is pretty seamless with everything. The UI is great and all you have to do is to set your data plan and then restrict the app you want to block from using when you’re on your 3G data plan. I would prefer using this app, for sure.

[Note]3. App Lock[/Note]

This is not the exact app you would want to install for this task but it is somewhat helpful. This application will lock down the app and it’ll be able to access any type of connection only when you’ll want to use it and when you want to use it, you’ll need to unlock the application. Pretty cool, haan? Probably yes. The only thing is, it blocks all the notification and everything until you manually unlock it and use it.

So, this ends my article. If I had to recommend an app, I would say No.1 if you have an unrooted phone and No.2 if you’ve got your phone rooted. You can also check out Quote apps for android. Do let me know if you’ve got any other app in addition to this list. Thanks.
