Facebook Pages Allows Admin Roles and Schedule Posts, Finally
I am sure many of you were waiting to get this update, weren’t you? Well, today is indeed a great day with lots of new announcements coming up. Samsung launched Galaxy SIII earlier in the day and we’ll be soon writing a detailed review about the phone but for now, here’s another great update :Now you can manage admin roles on your Facebook pages and also, you can schedule posts. This is going to be fun to use!
Page admins can have 5 different roles, each with different abilities. Only managers can change what kind of admin someone is. All admins are managers by default. In descending order of the most permissions, they are Manager, Content Creator, Moderator, Advertiser and Insight Analyst.
The Manager has the most permissions, including sending messages, creating posts, ads and viewing insights. The Manager is the only admin who can access admin roles. The ‘Insight Analyst’ has the least permissions, able only to view insights.
To set the roles, all you have to do is to go to the page you admin, click on “Edit page” from top navigation and go to “Admin roles” from the left sidebar menu on the page. Below is how our SkotGat Facebook page looks with it’s admin role defined :
Well, the next update is about Schedule posts on Facebook page. Facebook administrators (with permission to create posts) will be able to schedule posts up to 6 months in advance, with the ability to run posts at least 15 minutes apart. All times will on these posts will correspond to your own timezone.
This feature is still being rolled out but we’ve got the update on SkotGat Facebook page and below is how it looks in action :
Both of these features are said to be rolled out in coming hours and you might have to wait before you get these new updates but these additional features are surely going to help Facebook put a step forward in the world of advertising. Share your views with us. Thanks!
